Service Description

The candidates with the lowest levels of remuneration are typically the ones who have been with their current employer for more than 5 years. There are 2 main reasons. 1) Internal incremental pay raises are never as big as the raise you get when you change employer 2) most people don't know how to secure an acceptable raise. When you change employer, it's important to be able to confidently negotiate a package that is not just acceptable today, but that you'll be happy with in the future. If you're staying where you are, you need to be happy that your contribution is valued. Understanding the value you bring to an employer is crucial in making sure that you get the compensation you deserve for your services. But negotiations can be tough and for many people, they just don't know how to go about discussing an offer with the employer. In this session, you'll have an hour 1-to-1 with corporate headhunter and career coach Graham Dingwall. Graham has been headhunting and recruiting internally for some of the worlds biggest and most successful companies, and helping individuals to gain an edge in the talent market for over a decade. You'll discover: - How to tell if the offer you've received is acceptable (and not just the salary!) - How to align expectations throughout the process - How to benchmark your expectations against industry standards - How to open a negotiation on your offer or ask for a raise - How to get the maximum from your negotiation - When it's right to walk away - How to handle multiple offers and counter offers Make sure you maximise your earning potential.
